(Kron) – Iceblock, an application that enabled users to track the movement of migration and customs enforcement agents in the United States, was removed from the Apple App Store on Thursday. According to the publication of the applicants of the application, they received a message from the Apple application to inform them that IceBlock has been removed from the basic system due to “unwanted content”.
“The only thing we can imagine is that this is because of the pressure from the Trump official,” wrote the application of the application in a post on Bluesky. “We answered and we will fight this!”
The iCeblock app has relied on sharing collective information to ICE’s science scenes and was available for free in the application store. As of Friday morning, Kron4 confirmed that the application is no longer available for download via iPhone.
As of last month, the application developer said Iceblock had more than a million users.
Apple said it removes applications such as Iceblock due to the potential risks raised by the application of the law. Last month, the officials said that the gunman who opened fire on a ice facility in Dallas search for applications tracking ice agents.
“We created the application store to be a safe and reliable place to discover the applications,” Apple said in a statement. “Based on the information we received from the law application about the safety risks associated with Iceblock, we have removed it and similar applications from the application store.”
Although the application has been removed from the market, those who have already downloaded iCeblock are still able to use it.
