The father and son of the duo face criminal charges for trafficking in alleged fentanel and illegal weapons sales in Los Angeles.
According to the Ministry of Justice, federal criminal complaints claim that the duo sold at least 4.4 pounds of fentanel beans as well as many firearms and ammunition.
Father officials have known that Antonio Espinoza Zarati, 55, from the Mar Vista region in Los Angeles, and his son in the role of Francisco Javier Espinoza Galendo, 31, from Santa Monica.
The authorities arrested Antonio and Francesco in Los Angeles Province on March 26.
Court documents claim that Antonio sold a pistol, a rifle, 131 rounds of ammunition and more than 1.1 pounds of fentanel beans to Jupiter in July 2023. The Ministry of Justice added that Antonio, also known as “El Gato”, is not licensed to deal with firearms.
Then, in August 2023, Antonio sold a rifle similar to the AR and about 2.2 pounds of fentanel beans to Jupiter. It was noted that this time, drugs and firearms were provided by Francisco.
The next case was recorded in January 2025, when Antonio sold a gun, pistol, pistol and ammunition for Jupiter.
It was the next month when Antonio sold a secret laboratory. In this deal, Antonio sold more than 1.1 pounds of fentanel pills with his son’s present, ultimately caused his arrest in March.
In addition to facing these drugs and firearms related to firearms, the Ministry of Justice said that Antonio was also accused of re -introducing the United States after at least four deportations.
The father also enjoys a criminal history, including felony convictions for the year 2008 for drug possession for sale.
If he is convicted of all charges, the Ministry of Justice said that Antonio and Francisco will face a maximum legal penalty in the Federal Prison and the 10 -year minimum sentence.
