Martina Navratilova’s partner, Julia Lemigova, recently shared that she became “emotional” after receiving heartfelt messages appreciating her advocacy for child adoption.
Navratilova and Lemigova have been together for nearly 17 years. They first met in 2000 and began dating eight years later, in 2008. The 18-time Grand Slam champion proposed to Lemigova at the 2014 US Open, and they got married later that year.
In August 2024, Navratilova and Lemigova welcomed two boys into their family through adoption. In addition to their two sons, Lemigova is also a mother to two daughters, Victoria and Emma.

The event brought together dignitaries, families who have adopted children, media personalities, and celebrities. During the event, Lemigova performed the opera piece “Caro mio ben.”
Recently, Lemigova took to social media to share screenshots of messages praising her efforts in fostering and adopting children. In response, she expressed that such messages mean the world to her. She pointed out that many “incredible” families provide children with the love and stability they deserve, noting that every child deserves a safe and loving home.
“Messages like this mean the world. There are so many incredible foster and adoptive families out there giving children the love and stability they deserve. Sharing these stories helps remind us all that every child is worthy of a safe, loving home ❤️,” Lemigova wrote on her Instagram story.
Among the messages, one praised her performance of “Caro mio ben,” which she said made her feel “emotional.”
“Me? Emotional over DMs? Couldn’t be 😅💌,” she added.

On the tennis side of things, Navratilova is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. She concluded her career with 59 Grand Slam titles, including 18 singles titles, 31 women’s doubles titles, and 10 mixed doubles titles. During her career, she also held the World No.1 ranking in both singles and doubles.
