The authorities are still searching for a suspect who shot a woman in Linwood and killed her in 2024.
The victim was identified as Irene Gonzalez, 30, a mother of two children, according to the Los Angeles Province Department.
On September 15, 2024, Gonzales was working as a prostitute near Long Beach Street and Carlin Street. At approximately one in the morning, it was seen entering a black car, and perhaps Toyota Corolla, driven by a Spanish man, according to the detective.
Watch footage shortly before two in the morning, the suspect that stops in front of 12514 OAK Street shows that Gonzales quickly came out of the car before shooting at the back while fleeing.
The suspect set out before Gonzales collapsed on the ground between two stopped cars. At approximately 5:30 am, her body was discovered by a passer -by walking in the area. Investigators said there were no witnesses to the shooting.
The authorities said that Gonzalez was the mother of the son of one of the events and an adult son with autism.
LASD LT said. On September 15, 2025, a press conference, one year after its killing. “Her family described her as a care spirit, and she always puts others in front of herself. She found joy in helping others and being a friend and a sincere sister. She was not worthy to die in the way she did.”
A $ 20,000 bonus is provided for information that leads to suspect fears by Los Angeles Provincial officials. The suspect’s vehicle is described as the 2014-2018 Toyota sedan, and perhaps Corolla.
“One year has passed since Irene has lost her life closer, and her murderer has not been found,” said Janes Han, who is the Los Angeles Province. “Irene and her loved ones deserve justice, and this violent criminal without any consideration of human life belongs behind bars. We need to help the audience here. If you see or may see something, please progress.”
“All the details are important,” the investigators said. “Justice for Irene Gonzalez and the closure of her family depends on the help of society.”
Gonzalez was survived by her mother, two two siblings, their friends, and a family.
