Demolition accident causes traffic impacts in downtown Denver

Denver (KDVR) – The building stood at the corner of Lincoln and 7 Street in Denver for more than 50 years, but it will not be much longer.

A piece of piece, it decreases, although some of these pieces were not landed as it was supposed to be Monday.

“It is crazy to see the Denver Foundation. It was forever. It is also a brutal ugly building. So this is a kind of result,” said Eric Mandal, a Denver resident.

The day of the great demolition of the previous Denver 7 did not explode exactly without any obstacles. A piece of the wall fell near the back of the building on a construction vehicle and the traffic was difficult with the seventh street. This closed the corridors flying east throughout the afternoon.

Something like Eric Mandal, who passes the building every day, notice.

Mandel said: “I know that it is an abandoned intersection at the very least, so it will be great to see some livelihoods, and perhaps a commercial thing, but yes, everything changes and deserves,” Mandel said.

Others say they want to see the building is saved, and it is used for something other than another residential building in an area that appears to be constantly changing.

“Many things change here when there is such, like, like, like a neighborhood, and like this, such, such is over. I really hoped that this building would stay and they will be able to do something else with him. But I think it does not happen.”

Fox31 invited the company responsible for demolishing several times to get a statement or even more information about what happened. No one picked up or called us.
