Denver (KDVR) – The leaves are still changing colors around Colorado, but the snow is already in the mountains, and about a month, it may start to fall in Denver as well.
It is still in the eighties of the last century in Denver by mid -September, but the chips fall through the front range.
Snow was falling on several tops throughout Colorado in early September, with chips covering Pikes Peak and Light Snow on Wilkerson Pass. By mid -September, some skienridge ski resort, Keystone Ski Resort and Arapahoe basin have also told their first snow in this season as well.
Although it has just started moving to Colorado, with some papers in the peak season in late September, the winter is not far away. Bad news for summer fans and good news for the ski season, PinPoint Weather expects Snow to come soon.
When will you snow in Denver?
According to Fox31 Pinpoint Travis Michels, the average measurable snow in Denver on October 18. Over the past ten years, the first snow has decreased early from September 8 in 2020 to late November 17, 2016.
Although it is not impossible to see snow in September and early October, Michels said with a dry and slightly warmer decrease on expectations, the first snow is expected to land on Halloween.
Meanwhile, Michels said that Snow will continue to fall into the mountain peaks, as tops began to look white and stay this way for the winter. Low altitudes and mountainous towns have the opportunity to expect expectations in about two weeks, with a decent amount along the continental gap.
So, start increasing the sharpening of skis and withdrawing these winter coats, as the snow comes in the mountains, and skiing areas expect them to open them in a little more than a month.
