Car engine seen lying on Speer Boulevard after serious crash injures two early Saturday

Denver (KDVR) – A intersection returned in the downtown Denver after a dangerous plane crashed early on Saturday.

The Denver Police Department published on social media at approximately 5:20 am on Saturday that two cars participated in a crash along Speer Street in 8th Avenue. The police said two people were taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries was not yet known.

“We are next to Denver Health, so they may have really been able to get the scene really quickly,” said Joer Johnson, who heard the accident. “Both cars are demolished, the front end is demolished. Their vision of their tears as is the case, is somewhat worrying. The air bags exploded in the second car that is located in the street, so that it does not look good.”

FOX31 crews on the scene witnessed a broken glass, tires and a car engine scattered across Speer Street on Saturday morning. Many lights and streets were also near Banok Street. The intersection was closed for several hours where the officers were investigated, but it was reopened at about 8:45 am

Johnson said: “We are outside the Cherry Creek Riverwalk and Golden Triange, so unfortunately we see and hear a lot of traffic accidents here and there is a great presence of the police in the neighborhood,” Johnson said.

DPD said he does not know the cause of the accident, including if it is a possible accident related to the only identity document or a wrong driver. It is not clear whether anyone may face fees.
