Graphic social posts may trigger mental health issues

Austin – in today’s world, there is a camera in almost every event, allowing almost anyone to directly or publishing the video on social media immediately.

This was the case this week as X, Instagram and Facebook are filled with video about Charlie Kirk.

Many of these videos that provide a little or non -graphic video warning.

KXAN talks with mental health experts about the effects of these graphic videos on your mental health.

“If you are passing on social media, which I think everyone will do, you will see one thing and then change your algorithm on social media and now you see all kinds of content,” said Lauren Sullivan.

This can mean more and more death and destruction in your social media summary says Sullivan, a professional advisor with Lauren Sullivan Consultation Here in the center of Texas. She says the most harmful content you eat more may affect your mental health.

“The more you see it, the more repeated, and the more it is sits in your mind and can change your mood, especially if you have the previous mental health things, it can lead to these things,” said Sullivan.

“Seeing this again is something that can challenge and create symptoms of PTSD and affect the lives of daily peoples,” said Chamra Parrera.
