'Not satisfied': Lurie unveils plan to revitalize downtown SF as 24/7 neighborhood

San Francisco (Crohn– The mayor of San Francisco Daniel Lori announced plans to accelerate the city’s recovery by converting the city center into a vibrant neighborhood around the clock throughout the week.

At a press conference in Al -Ittihad Square on Tuesday, Lori highlighted the progress made during the past eight months and explains his vision to revitalize the city center as an economic center.

“I am incredibly proud of our progress, but I am not satisfied,” Lori said.

Downtown Development Corporation has already raised $ 40 million to support activation efforts. This financing will be used to create new public spaces on Powell Street, Fourth Street, and Embarcadero Plaza, as well as creating a new park in the East Cut area.

Mayor Lori stated that the goal is not only to return to the city center to his condition before birth but to build something better.

“This is not a matter of returning to the city center to where we were before the epidemic. It is not about that we are committed to building something better in the city center more than ever,” he said.

The initiative, known as “Heart of the City Executive Direct”, aims to make the city center a place where people can live, work, play, learn, and attract both locals and visitors from all over the world.

With these plans, San Francisco aims to create a more dynamic and attractive city center, and take advantage of large investments and community cooperation to achieve long -term growth and vitality.
