Couple shocked after discovering their dog was shot with BB pellets in their backyard

Jefferson County, Colorado (KDVR) – A couple in Jefferson Province wants all answers and accountability after shooting their dog at BB pistol in their backyard.

They believe that this happened at least a week ago, but they are corresponding to why anyone will hurt their dog, Helga. Ohlin and his wife, Christine, says that Helga loves to play in the backyard with her games.

“It’s a great dog,” said Brett Olin.

“It is one of the sweetest creatures in the world,” Christine agreed.

In their annihilation on Labor Day, they realized that something was wrong with her.

Brett said, “It was somewhat dag and we noticed it,” said Brett.

Her back leg on the left side was swollen, and still is a week later. A trip to the veterinarian revealed a big surprise: BB gun kernels were placed in its leg and pelvis. Veterinary doctors were unable to remove them.

“My first response was a lot of anger,” said Brett.

“Everything is shockingly sad,” said Christine. “This is the way the mountains work, you know? They are sneaking.”

The spouses have no idea when it could have happened or who could have been. They say that Helga did not go out of their fence to a place that disturbs their neighbors. Since the accident, they say Helga has been clearly affected.

“She is worried and does not want to go out without us,” said Christine.

They hope that someone will make answers and carry the person responsible for making their dog feel insecure in the annihilation they like to play.

“To shoot the puppy in our courtyard? It is a puppy that does not even bark?” Christine said.

“This is unacceptable,” Brett said.

Ohlens report to the Jefferson Sharif County Office as soon as you learn what happened. Depending on the severity of the case, livestock can lead to a felony charge of the responsible person if his identity is determined.
