Their loved ones were destroyed after the killing of a 18 -year -old woman while riding a metro bus in Los Angeles.
On August 22, Anastasia Morales, 18, and her friend were taking the bus to the home after enjoying a beach day. During the trip, a battle broke out between her boyfriend and a 16 -year -old passenger.
When Morales tried to interfere with pepper spray, she was shot in chest several times by the teenager. The shooter escaped from the scene before the authorities arrived.
Police responded to the scene near Manchester and Palford in the Wimshester neighborhood near Los Angeles International Airport. Morales was transferred to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.
“It was a meaningless violence,” said Emily Garcia, Morales’s cousin. “She was afraid and I’m sure he was also afraid. She did not know what to do, and she had a pepper spray on her.”
Garcia said her family was destroyed by the death of Morales. The 18 -year -old was a nursing student in England and had a bright future in front of her.
“It was a ray of sunlight,” Garcia told Mary Beth McDadi. “She was the sweetest young woman to meet her ever. Since an early age, she was very loving. She was a beautiful and loving spirit.”
Family members said that the police have since seized the shooter, who was only identified as a 16 -year -old boy because of his simple situation.
He said, I love them that they want to see the teenager charged as an adult to take the life of Morales.
Garcia said: “He needs to pay the price of what he did,” Garcia said. “He took the life of a young man. Justice for her is to be behind the bars for a very long time.”
