Health officials advise the public to avoid swimming, surfing, or playing in the ocean in many beaches of Los Angeles province due to the high levels of bacteria that go beyond government health standards.
The Ministry of Public Health in Los Angeles Province issued warnings to the following sites:
- 100 yards up and down from the coast of Lake Topanga Canyon in Toubanga County Beach
- 100 yards up and down on the coast from the 40th Street extension in Manhattan Beach
- 100 yards up and down on the coast from the Manhattan Beach beach in Manhattan Beach
- 100 yards up and down from the coast from Hermosa Beach Pier at Hermosa Beach
- 100 yards up and down from the coast from the Redondo Beach berth in Redondo Beach
- 100 yards up and down from the coast from draining the storm of Al -Yaqout Street on Redondo Beach
- The entire swimming area is on the mother’s beach in Marina del Rery
- 100 yards up and down from the coast from the Santa Monica berth in Santa Monica
- 100 yards up and down on the coast of Ramirez Creek at Paradise Cove
- The entire swim area at Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro
However, it is not all bad news. The department raised a previous warning 100 yards up and down from the coast from I Storm Drain Street in Redondo Beach.
