California Republicans have launched new legal procedures to prevent conservative re -division of Gavin New Yoshom from appearing in the November elections.
On Monday, Senator, Republican Party, Tony Strickland and other Republican leaders, made an emergency contact with the California Supreme Court seeking to stop the 50th proposal from going to voters.
The proposal suggests 50 suspension of the re -dividing independent citizens in the state until 2030, and instead the implementation of a new map of Congress. Critics argue that the map will convert five traditional republican provinces into democratic tendencies, giving Democrats a actually advantage in obtaining seats in the US House of Representatives at the state level.
Senator Strickland described the effort as a battle “to try to preserve democracy in California”, and pledged to challenge the plan in the court. He and other Republicans claim that the NEWSOM management violates the state constitution, noting that the plan has been transferred through the legislative body in less than a week, instead of following the required general review period constitutionally for a period of 30 days.
They also argue that the democratic politicians and advisers participated incorrectly in drawing the map, although the constitution is currently limiting this authority in the Committee to Re -Divide the Independent Circles.
Mike Colombo, a partner in the Delon Group of Law, stressed that the legislative body and other officials exercise the powers they do not have, describing the process “they already exercise an authority they do not possess.”
This last legal effort comes after the state’s Supreme Court refused to hear a petition in the previous emergencies last week. The chief judge in the court said that the ablutions of petitions “failed to meet the burden of founding a basis for relief at this time.”
Support supporters have prompted 50 to the new petition. A spokeswoman for the campaign “Yes on 50” Republicans were accused of trying to protect the influence of former President Donald Trump, saying: “Trump’s frogs have already been destroyed once in court. Now, they are trying again – to protect Trump’s strength and prevent voters from obtaining their opinion on the pillar 50. They will lose.”
President Donald Trump was weighing, which hints to take legal action against the Newsom plan. He spoke from the Oval Office, he said: “I think I will file a lawsuit. Soon. I think we will be very successful in it.”
For the following steps, the California Supreme Court can decide as soon as this week, whether the Republican emergency contact will take, determining whether the proposal 50 remains in the November polling.
