New Lake Travis ISD superintendent sees school year 'as an opportunity'

KXAN – It is a new academic year for Lake Travis, but there are no new challenges, according to a new supervisor, Cortis Nol.

“I don’t really see the new academic year as a challenge. See it is an opportunity. As you know, we have 11,000 students who will get to meet the doors of our buildings next week, and with each of them comes a story and a future, and we have an opportunity to form this future, and that there is some pressure that comes with that, because we want to make sure that every child feels every day, receives everything they need.

While some provincial leaders are concerned about joining and growing, Null sees it as an opportunity to care for registered children.

“The voters here in Lake Travis are thinking very forward, and they agree to bonds in 2022 and 2023. We see the fruits of this work now appears on our campus. While we expanded universities, we are exposed to construction, which brings their own challenges, but we know that growth is a positive thing. People want to be here.

“We want to welcome them with open weapons, and therefore every new child is moving, we want parents to know that we have a place for them, and we will be sure to take care of them, and we look forward to educating them.”

Block mobile phone

While educational areas at the state level implement the new mobile embargo in all universities, Null explained that the Isfis Lake was one step forward.

“The goal is to give children an opportunity to be educated while they are in school, to remove this distraction at the same time,” Nol said.

Last year, we have carried out a similar prohibition of the mobile phone on our primary and medium campus. “Therefore, this year, we have just reached the same plan to our high school. We have proven that we can implement this plan sincerely, and it was a positive experience for our children and our teachers in K to eight, and now we will strengthen it to our high school, and we are confident that it will go well.”
