Human trafficking suspect arrested during Oakland traffic stop: CHP

(Kron) – A suspect of human trafficking in Auckland was arrested on Tuesday after his car was arrested by the California Highway patrol due to multiple violations of the Traffic Law.

“During the investigation, the officer noticed a passenger in a manner consistent with prostitution and discovered evidence linking the driver to human trafficking activity,” said the Oakland Region Office at CHP Oakland.

CHP said that its officer separated the driver and the passenger while they decided that the passenger was sexually exploited for money.

“Human trafficking is a crime that exploits vulnerable individuals and is often hiding in the sight of the horizon,” CHP added in a post on social media. “The Republican People’s Party is still committed to combating this issue through enforcement and community partnerships.”
