Police confirmed that a man was arrested by allegedly shooting a woman outside the Cheese Cake Factory in the Westfeld Topanga Mall on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Los Angeles Police Administration, the officers responded to reports of the possibility of shooting at Canoga Park of the famous restaurant series.
The police arrived at the Cheesecake factory to find a victim, which was only identified as an adult, suffering from a gunshot wound. No more details were provided about her injuries or status, but KTLA WICICETT reported that the victim was transferred to an unknown hospital.
The details are limited, but the initial reports indicate that the suspect claims that he shot the woman and then fled from the street towards Toubanga Canyon Street and Erwin Street.
Los Angeles police said that the officers were initially searching for a suspect leading a black Mercedes, but when he was arrested, he seemed to walk on foot.
Sky5 was in the sky of arresting the suspect. Footage of the scene showed a great law enforcement, as a portion of the car park was destroyed at the commercial center with a warning tape.
