(Crohn) – Palu Alto can be the next city of RV.
The city council is expected to review next week’s plan to address displacement, including the possibility of blocking RVS that is not working.
It comes at a time when the mayor of the city says that the number of people living in RVS is increasing.
Bridge Lee lives off Fabian Way in Palo Alto. It is one of the dozens on the road to live in a mobile housing vehicle.
In a neighborhood with commercial buildings and a few homes, they were out of people’s homes. But on the street, it is a different image.
The city manager’s office says that RVS complaints have risen since spring. The city says the displacement and the number of people living in RVS has doubled since 2023.
Of more than 200 unprecedented people in Palu Alto, 88 % of them live in RVS.
That is why. According to Zillow, the average rent in Palu Alto is more than $ 4,000. This is more than $ 1,000 of the average San Jose.
This is what the city council is looking to do next week. They are expected to consider banning RVS that are not working, and expanding safe parking sites, as well as banning owners who rent RVS for non -distinguished persons.
Me is one of these angels. She tells me that she got the idea by seeing passengers who could not bear the rent in Palo Alto.
She tells us that she rents her RVS to restaurants, Janaben and even tennis coach – but she made a great or non -profit.
While she is still looking for her residence, she tells me that she plans to sell RVS instead of renting her.
The city council will discuss their homeless plan at the meeting of the Council next week.
