Austin – Treatment is a vital part of football, however it is one of the most dangerous things that you practice due to potential injuries. Coaches are wrestling at all levels with finding the right balance in their preparation, including Steve Sarkissian of Texas.
After the second Longhorns quarrel on Saturday, the crime may be caused by defense. Sarkissian said that the treatment of the team’s first fight on August “may be a little better.” He needs to see the tape to confirm his concept, but he believed that the crime was related to it instead of not doing the defenders.
“I felt that the ball got a little more space, forcing some of the most exhausted treatments for the defenders,” he said. “But this is a good thing, right? We need to learn how to do these things.”
Many national analysts and ports have Texas defense as preferred in the season than being the best in the country, and it is clear that the treatment will be a large part of checking these opinions. Sarkissian said, despite his initial ideas, the defense made big plays when they needed it.
“There were some very good treatments, which were to provide the landing and forced the crime to implement in the red zone,” he said. “In the end, as you know, we have to find our chances of addressing. We have reached a great work in our individual periods of working on treatment. There is not much that we can treat to prepare to go.”
One defensive eye in particular caught the eye of Sarkissian on Saturday, and the novice defense, Malik Muhammad. Sarkissian wanted to see what was made of him, and Muhammad gave a great response.
Sarkissian said: “I went intentionally after him with different things, and to play him the way he played, she gave me more confidence than I had,” Sarkissian said. “Today it was very encouraging.”
Sarkissian said on Saturday was more intense and physical than the first.
“During the past two and a half weeks, our men were working, training and grinding to improve themselves individually to help us improve collectively,” said Sarkissian. “This is a great growth for us.”
The players will return to a schedule that reflects when the classroom begin on August 25, and Sarkissian said he wanted them to enter their routine before they face Ohio on August 30.
