'This is our normal': Families call on the Colorado legislature to change court competency laws

Denver (KDVR)-Joel Lang was in court, beating, and ultimately dragged him by Kirsti Crest in McDonald’s memorial in 2024. Lang, who handed him over after the police, sent a bulletin with his car in the photo, and was accused of second-class death.

His charge was dropped after being incidentally found to trial earlier this month.

“This really changed our entire life. There is no return to our normal. This is normal for us. We are standing to fight against injustice, and this is not a small thing,” said Brittany, Kirdis’s daughter.

The Kerst family is now part of the invitation group requesting a change in Colorado efficiency laws.

“I don’t want this to continue to happen to other peoples, for other people. What happened to a truly devastating secretary. But to be able to stop this position for other families, this is the main goal,” said Hanna Kirds, the daughter of Kirds.

The family is not alone, joined by Dante White. The son of White was a target to try to kidnap by Carmen Galligan, who was previously known as Suleiman Ghaligan, a recorded sexual crimes. The video was arrested on the video near the Black Forest Elementary School in Aurora.

Galligan’s charges were dropped last week because the doctors spent Galljan, too, suffering from a chronic medical condition and will never be eligible for trial.

“I will be lying if you don’t say, as you know, I am angry. I’m crazy, right? It will happen again, as you know, and this is the truth. He will not get the help he needs.”

The group organizes a movement to try to attract the attention of legislators, and they call the provincial lawyer to pressure their elected officials in the next private session to reconsider the legislation that was approved last year.

Fox 31 has reached local lawyers in the local province around these calls.

Provincial lawyer George Brookler from the twenty -third judicial region of Colorado sent a partial statement he says:

“No sane person can look at the current qualifications in Colorado as anything other than the Bunker.

Fox 31 also arrived at the ruler’s office, and sent the following statement:

“The dangerous criminals should not be released in the streets. We want to work with everyone to determine whether there are additional reforms that must be made to ensure that people who can be exposed to others or themselves themselves do not threaten public safety. Governor Police is committed to local laws forming, supporting crime, calling for support, and school support.

It is not clear whether the topic will be raised during the next special session.
