SF teachers face payroll problems as new school year approaches

San Francisco (Crohn– With only six days until the beginning of the school year in San Francisco, teachers in the region call for continuous problems with their salary system.

As you might remember, there were many mistakes in the past, the region was forced to bring a new system in July.

With the start of the teachers of San Francisco School in preparing the classes a few days before the first day of the school, the Teachers Union in the region and raising the red flag calls for.

“What we raise the warning as a federation is a crisis in the new salary system,” said Frank Lara, Vice President in San Francisco.

The issue is the new salary system in the province. The replacement of a former system in July was put on the pasture after the thousands were not pushed incorrectly. Now, teachers say they are already facing problems with the new system.

“The colonists miss anywhere from 500 to 1,000 dollars to get the advantages that should have been addressed during the summer,” Lara said. “And our other accredited staff, they resemble the summer programming employees after school, thousands of dollars, anywhere from two to 3000 dollars to work during the summer.”

“It is very important for me and a maximum priority to ensure that we are pushing our employees accurately and on time, we will not have the same disaster last year,” said Dr. Maria Sue, SFUSD.

Su said that the new system was 97 % accurate of time, and more than 650 of the 750 complaint ticket was resolved. You say, it will not be satisfied until there are no mistakes in the salary statements system.

“The problem we face is to move from the old system to this new system,” Su said. “I think a firm belief, because we, the educational area employees, are better trained in the use of the system and the use of the system, and our errors will continue to decrease.”

But the Teachers Union says that the educational zone was rejecting and submitted unfair work practices fees with the Public Employment Relations Council in California.

Lara said: “We use this opportunity to escalate, which is resolved as quickly as possible, so that we can all focus on what matters more, which is what our children teaches,” Lara said.

The first day of instructions is scheduled to start in San Francisco on Monday.
