Steve Sarkisian is fine with the Texas defense being better than the offense — for now

Austin (KXAN) – TEXAS Longhorns tracks at least one, some of the best teams in which coach Steve Sarkissian was part of it.

Six practices in a training camp, 25 days before the Texas and Ouhyu state square in the first match between the first two teams in a pre -season opinion poll to start one season, Sarkisian said his defense had the upper hand in the attack.

It is completely agreed to that.

“Our defense is really well playing,” he said. “The best difference that I was at all, the defense is usually advanced from this perspective, from an offensive point of view. This does not say that the crime does not really do some good things … but I think the crime can play better.”

Sarkissian stated that Quintrevion Wisner ignited the defense for a long time during Tuesday’s practice, which he said was “great to see” and that he “did not like her.” Everything about the perspective with him.

“I want our defense to be so dominant that it makes it difficult for our crime to do what they want to do,” he said. “The key to the attack is that it requires all 11 players … We are fighting for consistency on both sides, but I really think consistency is crucial on the offensive side of the ball.”

Part of finding consistency is a short memory when things get worse. Sarkissian said that some players should learn how to “deal with disappointment a little better”, and improves their mental hardship in this regard. It comes to players who accept that every play will not go as planned, know what happened, then correct the error and move forward.

Sarkissian said the crime is not short in the effort, and he loves the intention, but sometimes, some players tend to overcome things too much.

“The next play must give the credit it deserves,” he said. “She has its own life. We are strongly trying to have a level of disappointment to the extent that we carry some of them to the next play. Some errors are exacerbated, so we have to improve that.”

Sarkissian confirmed that Andre Kojo’s injury on Monday was at the end of the season. Koju was in the mixture to start the right treatment.

“I hate it for him,” said Sarkisyan. “He was working hard to get himself in a competitive state, but we will get it in good health and support him as we have with many other players.

Sarkissian said that DJ Campbell has returned to training after going out for personal reasons, and Ryan Wingo will return to training on Thursday. Wingo was also absent for personal reasons.
