The owners of pets and community leaders in the Venice are trying to determine the cause of the death of at least six dogs, suddenly in the past two weeks near Venice channels.
The death of the first was reported on July 6, and the latest occurred on July 27. According toWestern currentAt least 10 additional dogs suffer from symptoms of the disease, including one in intensive care from Tuesday.

A resident, Barbara Malsh, said that her dog, the shadow, died on July 21 after she started vomiting and stopped eating.

Another owner has lost her one -year -old Golden Retriever.
Speculation about what might be sick, dogs include rodent cm, toxic algae, or a potential virus, but no clear cause has been determined.
The Biology Association published publications on Venice channels, warned the residents and asked them to contribute to the joint Google document to help collect information.
Meanwhile, the association urges pets to take precautions, including maintaining dog steering, avoiding the water of the canal and common vessels, and searching for veterinary care if their pet shows any symptoms.
