Linder, Texas (KXAN) – annual anniversary throughout the state of Texas on Friday, as it represents three weeks since the deadly floods during the weekend on July 4.
Sandy Kreik in Travis Province, outside Linder, was cruel. Some people who lived in the region and around them were decisive to respond from both cities and nearby provinces.
This includes people targeting the mayor of Linder, Christine Delysel. In a lengthy post on FacebookShe is trying to register the record directly on what her city is doing after the flood.
“We are helping in every possible way,” she told KXan during an interview with one on one on Friday.
Although there is a Lender address, the neighborhood is in the province of Travis is not integrated.
“We were on the site morning of the flood. We helped in both the Williamson and Tarfis provinces,” Delisel said. “We have a great emergency management team that has been contacted with Travis County every day.”
The early morning hours were from July 5, and the area was severely hit. Cleaning continued, as of Friday, but the operation has not yet ended.
The mayor had harsh criticism on the Internet for what some claim that he did not do enough.
“It is okay if they want to be angry at me, but I want to make sure they are connected to people who can make a change,” said Deliael. “Because what they say is, I want something different, and Lender cannot provide something different.”
Despite all that has happened over the past few weeks, Delisle said it will continue to support in any possible way.
She said: “If there is a silver lining, you will have seen everyone gathering enthusiastically.”
