Austin-Magic Mirror Vintage, a known dressing store in Lockhart, is looking for a community assistance for rebuilding after a truck tossed via the store interface early Monday morning.
The store owner, Natalie, told KXAN that a man was leaving a nearby company when he lost control of his car and crashed into the store. While the bars are happy, no one was injured, the repair of damage will have great costs.
“It is much worse than I thought”
When I got to the store to assess the damage, the tapes said they were shocked by the importance of the damage.
“I thought,” My God, I will have to pay to re -paint the front window, “then I saw a huge hole in the rear door of the store, when I started realizing that this would be much worse than I thought.”
The damage confirmed, saying that the truck led through the entire store. In addition to the uncertainty in the situation, the tapes said that the building and its works are not believed.
“Everything is damaged and it is very overwhelming to say the least said,” the tapes said.
Now that the store is temporarily out of the commissions for renovations, the tapes said they would need more help than ever.
“Everything was completely destroyed. [Natalie’s] Inventory is shattered. Until this morning, the front of the building is wide open. Gofundme created by a friend’s friend.
At that time, the tapes were waiting for the code to evaluate the building’s structure to make sure it was safe to enter. Once you reach “OK” to go inside, the process of ascending to the windows will start and transfer the remaining stocks to a safer area.
Gofundme said that the tapes are not sure “to reconstruction to look. But we know that they will need support to pay their employees … along with many other expenses that will come and rebuild.”
“A lot of sympathy appears”
Since the accident, the tapes said they had received a lot of support from the Lockhart community and friends.
“Something is somewhat dramatic, but in a small town that is somewhat similar to the largest news of the year,” said tapes.
Spears spent every morning next to their store. However, she said that she does not move in this destruction alone. Tribes said that members of society gave her their hugs and “show a lot of sympathy.” “I love my city.”
While this incident is destroyed by the tapes, KXAN told her that she was happy with the harm of anyone. “It was possible to be much worse. I am really happy that no one was hurt. I am happy that none of my employees was not here.”
the The Lockhart Chamber has been published on social media Urging the community to meet to help Magic Mirror Vintage and Drbons and its employees during this time.
“Its store is not just a store- it is a haven for creativity, sustainability and magic,” said Post. The publication added that the work of the tapes embodies what makes Lockhart distinctive and “a real pillar in the city center.”
“We ask you- not only as members of the room, but as neighbors- think about providing your support,” the post said.
