Peninsula hit by rash of residential burglaries

“The victim, who was at home during an attempt to storm, stated that the suspects were forced into the back of the residence,” said SMCSO. “The suspects escaped from the scene before the deputies arrived. No elements were believed to have been taken.”

About an hour after reporting the second proposal, the deputies responded to a residential aid in the 3800 Woodland Way mass in Emerald Hills.

  • Make sure your home is well lit. Consider the use of motion sensor lights.
  • If you have a safety system, be sure to take advantage of it.
  • Do not give hideouts. Pruning shrubs and trees near windows to get rid of potential hiding spots.
  • Outside the city? Hold your mail, hand you, or ask one of the neighbors to capture it.
  • Do not announce your absence or post your plans on social media.
