ASAN – KXAN (KXAN) – after the CARE flood in CARE, confirmed that only three people are still missing, according to the city of Kurville.
On July 16 update, CARE province officials said that at least 107 people, including 37 children, were killed in Kiir Province. On the July 14 update, the governor of the state, Greg Abbott, said that 97 people are known to be missing in “Greater Kerville”.
By Saturday, Kerville officials announced the number of people missing in the CARE province, which decreased from more than 160 to three, according to a press statement.
“We are very grateful to more than 1,000 local, state and federal authorities who worked tirelessly in the wake of the devastating flood that struck our society,” said Dalton Rice, director of the city of Kerville in the statement. “Thanks to their extraordinary efforts, the number of individuals previously listed as lost from more than 160 to three.”
At least 135 people were killed in catastrophic floods throughout Texas, with the majority of deaths in Kiir Province.
The deaths were confirmed in six provinces in general, with four missing persons in Travis Province. Other deaths and missing persons in Kendall Province, Burnett Province, Williamson Province and Tom Green Province were confirmed.
As for Kerville, the officials said that the recovery continued throughout the Guadalobi River on Saturday.
“Our ideas with families are still waiting for the news, and we will continue to stand with them as efforts continue,” said the mayor of Kurville Joe Hering, the son in the statement.
