ASAN (KXAN)-Passengers at Austin Bergstrom International Airport were slightly less than the record levels in 2024, and it is scheduled to be 2025 years old incredibly crowded.

Last year, about 21.7 million passengers flew inside and outside AUS, or about 333,000 less than 2023, but about 675,000 still more than 2022.

What is the most crowded year at all?

While approaching 2024, 2023 is still the most crowded year in AUS, with more than 22 million passengers.

What is the most crowded month at all?

May 2024 is the most crowded month of AUS, with approximately 2.07 million passengers. Only seven months saw more than two million passengers: July 2023, October 2023, July 2024, May 2022, June 2024, June 2023 and October 2022.

So far in 2025, monthly passenger records have not been identified.

What is more today is the congestion at all?

October 21, 2024, stands as the most crowded day ever, as more than 44,000 passengers have been examined via TSA. The height came in passenger groups when travelers left Austin after the weekend F1 and the Football match at the University of Texas against Georgia.

Two other days in history broke the score of the 40,000 passengers, both from Monday in October after the weekend. Days through SXSW, Spring Break and Austin City Limits Music Festival are also at best 10 days crowding ever.

Which airline carries most passengers?

SouthWest Airlines is the largest airline operating in AUS in terms of passenger traffic. The airline represents 41.5 % of all passengers so far this year.

American Airlines are the following, representing 17.1 % of passengers. Delta Air Lines transported 16.6 % of passengers, while United Airlines carry 13 %. Airlines are in the fifth distant position, representing 3.2 % of passengers.

In total, Southwest has transported more than 3.4 million passengers inside and outside Austin this year. America has transported more than 1.4 passengers, Delta has moved more than 1.3 million, and has transported UNITED more than a million passengers.

What airlines see most of the growth?

For example, Delta Air Lines witnessed a 13 % increase in passengers in January 2025 compared to January 2024. Meanwhile, the number of travelers who fly with the Jetblue airplane fell by 68 %.
