Mental Health Association of San Francisco announces sweeping layoffs

San Francisco (KON) – MHASF reduces nearly 200 jobs, according to a file to the Ministry of Employment Development. The administration announced plans to lay off 198 people on Wednesday.

Workers’ layoffs, which were described as permanent, are set on September 15.

The mission of MHASF, according to its location, is “cultivating peer leadership, building society, and promoting social justice in mental health.” According to its LinkedIn page, there is between 51 and 200 employees.

On its website, MHASF announced that due to budget restrictions, it will reduce costs, including reducing employees hours, regarding the warm line of the peer in California. The warm line provides access around the clock throughout the week on the phone or text to mental health consultants to address a wide range of mental health challenges, including “anxiety, depression and material use,” says MHASF.

MHASF has been 75 years ago, according to information on its website.
