Denver (KDVR) – On Sunday, there were multiple phone fires in Colorado along the border in Utah to the state governor Jared Police declaring a fire disaster along the western slope.
After this announcement, South Metro Fire Rescue said it was responding to “multiple vegetation fires” in Douglas Province and shortly after the announcement that the fires “were promoted to a fire interface with multiple fires (so) train paths and spread in an open space with at least one structure threatening.”
At 3:02 pm, South Metro Fire requested the evacuation of the city of Louvies, while the agency dealt with the fire alongside the Douglas Sharif County Office and West Metro Fire.
The American Red Cross for the high area of Mile announced that it had opened a evacuation center in the land of Douglas County Exhibitions for those who had to leave their homes.
The American Red Cross said that anyone affected by evacuation or pre -evaluation orders can resort to a shelter, and that everyone is welcome in the shelter, including pets.
They can speak with Red Cross volunteers in the shelter to help with immediate needs and support and learn new information.
Snacks and water are available at the evacuation center.
Medical employees will be on the site, as well as mental health services.
