2nd crash involving Thornton police vehicle with active lights, sirens in under 2 weeks

KDVR – Colorado state patrol was investigated in a crash that included a Thornton police officer on Wednesday evening.

The accident led to the closure of the roads near Thornton Parkway and Grant Street. The accident was reported by the Thornton Police Department at about 6:15 pm

The agency said that preliminary information shows that the driver of the Red Toyota Sedan did not surrender while the officer was responding to an accident with lights and warning sirens.

The officer was not injured, but the agency did not share the case of the other driver.

The Colorado State patrol was investigating the accident. The agencies have not provided details of the time to reopen the roads.

This is the second car of the Thornton police that he is exposed to while responding to an accident with the lights and alarms that have been activated in the past two weeks. On June 29, a Thornton police officer was injured when his car was injured near 104 Street and Washington Street.
