(Krona) – Police announced on Thursday that a Denver woman was arrested and was accused of death 16 years after a newborn girl was found dead in garbage in Union City.
The deceased child was discovered on May 18, 2009, by a man looking for recyclable materials behind Parkside apartments located in 1501 Decoto Road, according to the Union City police administration.
The echo of killing the new baby throughout the community and the Union Police Administration is a city. The officers launched the Girl’s Award, Mattia Esperanza, which they said means “a gift from God” in the Hebrew language and “Hope” in the Spanish language, and the Police Union bought a permanent grave sign in her honor in the amazing chapel in Hayyard. Every year in May, UCPD holds a memorial service for the girl.
The authorities said that Angela Ondoto, 46, was identified by the suspect by analyzing the last advanced DNA of evidence collected in 2009. Oncuto was, according to UCPD, an important person during the initial stages of investigation into the murder in 2009.
Investigators traveled to Denver in May 2025 and coordinated with local law enforcement to arrest Oondo. The police said the charges were withheld, “waiting for more criminal analysis and a detailed review of the results of the medical examiner.”
Weeks later, the office of the Alamida County Lawyer offered a murder against UNDOTO. She was arrested by the Denver Police Administration on Wednesday, pending delivery to the province of Alamida.
The police said: “UCPD expresses its deep gratitude because justice is advancing in the Matta case after 16 years, which reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to resolving cold issues and closing society.”
