RTD adds capacity on light rail trains to downtown Denver for 4th of July weekend

Denver (KDVR) – The regional transport area adds train cars to the light railways D, H, H, W and L from Friday to Sunday, in order to support the events of July 4 in the center of Denver.

RTD said that bus and railway services will also work on the Sunday/holidays schedule on the fourth of July.

Final light rail train times from Denver Union Station and City Downtown Stations are:

  • Wednesday, July 2 and Thursday, July 3
    • D Line – 11:33 PM
    • Line E – 11:55 pm
    • H link – 11:30 pm
    • W link – 11:52 PM
    • L link – 10:02 PM
  • Friday, July 4 (holiday schedule)
    • D Line – 11:33 PM
    • Line E – 11:26 pm

    • W link – 11:38 PM

Note Independence Day events

The prominent events that take place in the center of Denver for independence include:

  • Indie Eve Done Exhibition at Civic Center on Thursday at 9:15 pm (the gates open at 5 pm)
  • Deadbeats Backyard Jamboree at CIVIC Center Park on Friday
  • Coors Field fireworks shows after Rockies games on the basement on Friday and Saturday (matches start at 6:10 pm on Friday and 7:10 pm on Saturday)
  • Saturday fireworks in El Sege Gardens
  • Denver exhibition at the Colorado Conference Center from Thursday to Sunday
