Denver (KDVR) – With the approaching July 4, Jefferson Province said it believes that its 911 calls increase nearly four times the normal amount, all thanks to illegal fireworks. To keep these lines free for emergency situations, they ask people to use alternative methods to report.
Even a week of vacation, these fireworks have already become a headache for many, with calls in Jefferson Province. Instead of calling 911, they want people to know that reporting illegal fireworks is now simple as clicking on your phone.
“There are a lot of calls,” said Mark Nitro, a spokesman for the Jefferson Sharif Provincial Office. “Thousands and thousands of calls.”
They all flood the boycott lines.
“Sometimes, sometimes, a four -fold increase in the size of our calls in the week leading to the fourth of July,” said Keffcom 911.
Any fireworks that leave the land or illegal explosion in the state, but it is not uncommon for people to run on Wyoming borders to return some to the home. Then they confiscated the office of Sharif Al -Ajsas.
“We get several drums of fireworks 55 gallons every year,” Nitro said.
Usually all of these are confiscated thanks to people who report noise, and Micolson said he hoped that this is not through emergency phone lines.
“We only have a lot of people available to answer calls at any specific time,” he said.
More calls mean that someone is in decisive danger may not get the help they need. Instead, it suggests using the Jeffcom 911 or its website, both of which have an online reporting feature. Advice can be unknown, but they only ask for a good address.
“The more accuracy of the site that we have a fireworks activity, or any criminal activity, the better we will send the right resources at the right time to address these resources,” said Meccson.
Sharif’s office said that its goal is not to distribute the punishment, and instead in the hope of deterring the use of fireworks through education, while maintaining the level of noise in the future.
“We don’t want to be the bad man.”. “We want to make sure that everyone spends a fun time and enjoy, but we want them to do so with responsibility.”
