Austin – Tri Johnson headed to our nation’s capital.
Washington Wizards chose the One Texas goalkeeper with General Selection No. 6 in the American Professional League draft for 2025 on Wednesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
In his student season with Longhorns, Johnson led the Southeast Conference in his scoring with 19.9 points for each game and 40 % of the range of 3 points. Many residents and boycotters Johnson are the best of pure shooting this year.

Johnson will join the former Texas recruiter AJ Johnson, who joined Wizards via Milwaukee Bucks after he played professionally in Australia from 2023-24 after Dikra from Rodney Terry and Longhorns.
