Eight Lake Tahoe drowning victims identified in boating tragedy

(Krona) – Eight victims that drowned during the tragedy of Lake Tahoe were identified by law enforcement officials on Tuesday. The group’s boat turned when a sudden thunderstorm took the winds and strong waves at the end of last week. Only two of 10 people were thrown into the water survived.

The victims ranged at the age of 37-73, and it lives three in the San Francisco Bay area.

The investigating judge department in the Sharif Office of Dorado County has set the victims as follows:

  • Joshua Antony Pickles, 37, from San Francisco
  • Paula Bouznovich, 71, from Redwood, California.
  • Terry Pickles, 73, from Redwood City, California.
  • Peter Baise, 72, from Lincoln, California.
  • Timothy Olieri, 71, from Oporne, California.
  • Theresa Giurani, 66, from Hunwi, New York
  • James Jock, 69, from Hunwi, New York
  • Stephen Lindsay, 63, from Spring Water, New York

The victims were from the Gulf region, while others on the boat were friends of the family.

“We have lost my lover Josh Picks, his parents Terry Picks, Pola Bouznovich, and Uncle Peter Bayes, as well as friends in this tragedy,” wrote Josh Picks, widow, Jordan Shujer Carlsgard, in a statement to Croner 4.

Carlisgdard’s sugar continued, “There are no words that can express the pain and anguish that we feel that knowing their lives was lost during what was supposed to be a fun time on the lake. Our hearts come out to those who tragicly lost their lives and surviving this unexpected and deadly storm on Lake Tahoe.”

US Coast Guard officials said that ten people were on a 27 -foot boat from Chris Craft when he turned on Saturday afternoon near the DL Bliss State Park, which is located on the southwestern side of Lake Tahoe. Uscg said a thunderstorm wearing winds of 35 miles and 8 -footed waves.

The boat turned around at 3 pm, two people were rescued and taken to the hospital. Search teams regained eight bodies from the lake.

Many other twins who were on the lake when the deadly thunderstorm hit that their boats were severely damaged.

“We are very grateful to the American Coast Guard, the Sharif Office of Doado Province, regional law enforcement and firefighting agencies in Washo and San Joakin, local rescue men, and all the first respondents in the search and rescue voltage. We thank them deeply for helping them in the accusation situation,” Sugar-Carlsgaard told Kron4.

More than ten agencies participated in research and recovery efforts, including: Sharif Office of Eldurado County, North Tahoe Fire, California Gardens, South Lake Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe Fire, Washo County Office in Nevada Sharif, Wild Stars Forest.
