The husband of former Vice President Kamala Harris, lawyer Douglas Emahhof Declare Monday.
Emhoff, who won his JD from the USC GOULD in 1990, will start its role in college on July 1.
“It is great to go home in Los Angeles, I am excited and I am honored to return to USC GOULD, where my legal journey started,” Emehof said in a statement. “I look forward to continuing to share my experiences with the next generation and listen to it in the vibrant academic community at the University of Southern California.”
Emhoff previously taught at the Georgetown University Law Center during its time in Washington, and Emhoff directed students, participated in fake interviews, professional development events, and support for new graduates.
“As a lawyer, I always believed in speaking on behalf of the weak, defending basic rights, and fighting for justice,” said Emhoff. “I am excited to instill these values in the next generation of legal professionals.”
The decision comes at a time when Harris weighs with the governor of California, a decision that he does not expect to make until the end of the summer.
