New California law would require immigration agents to identify themselves

A law requires the agents involved in immigration enforcement activity to identify themselves.

Legislation at the state level “would properly enhance the importance of law enforcement in determining themselves during enforcement procedures,” according to a media statement from a pair of politicians who are calling the bill, Senator California Sasha Rene Perez (de Pasadina) and Passadina Victor M. Geordo.

“The recent incidents that involve members of the impersonation of law enforcement employees have created confusion, fear and lack of confidence in societies throughout the state,” says the edition. “This legislation seeks to set clear and consistent criteria, which requires officers to identify themselves during enforcement procedures.”

A press conference held by Perez and Jordo is scheduled to be held, along with many community organizations, at 10 am on Monday outside the city of Pasadina.
