Cherry Creek residents say police response lacking as car break-ins spike

Denver (KDVR)-a modern series of car storming operations in one of the richest Denver neighborhoods that include residents and business owners who question the effectiveness of local police patrols.

According to the crime data of the Ministry of Denver Police, at least 25 cars were stormed in the Cherry Creek area last month. Several victims told Fox31 that the actual number is likely to be much higher, because many people do not bother to report accidents that they feel will not be investigated.

MEE TORABBEIIII, who owns a company in the region, said his cars were divided twice in two separate people.

“I called the police, and they reported a report on the phone – they didn’t even appear,” said Tripigi.

One of the victims, who asked not to call it, said that her car had stormed inside a safe apartment garage and that she had not received any police updates on the case.

The other residents told Fox31 that the crimes have become very routine, as they stopped reports completely.

“They know what to do,” one of the shoppers said. “These are not the youngsters.”

Denver police told Fox31 that they are continuing to encourage the public to report all the crimes and avoid leaving the precious things inside the vehicles. Some victims said that the administration’s advice is declining without fixed follow -up or visual presence in the neighborhood.

“I haven’t seen a police car here,” Norabbiji added. “We need more police.”

One of the turmoil in a sacrifice in a nearby hotel said that his team is now taking additional security measures, including doubling security in their garage and re -examining all cars doors at night.

From luxury apartments to small stores, many say in Cherry Creek they hope to change.
