Summer camp employee attacked by mountain lion in NorCal, different cat killed

(Krona) – A mountain lion attacked an employee of the summer camp in Trainte County on June 14, according to a joint statement issued by the Ministry of Fish and Wildlife in California and the Trainte County Office.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the attack, which occurred at about 3 pm, east of the North California community in northern California countryside in Hayamum. CDFW and Sharif officials said that the property owner began to track and kill a mountain lion after the attack.

“In an attempt to ensure that the animal leaves the area, the owner of the property continued in the direction in which Assad was seen last time.” “While searching, the property owner faced a mountain lion, and for fear of his safety, the animal rejoiced.”

CDFW responded to the scene and collected the body of the mountain lion for the test. DNA tests revealed that the mountain lion, who was killed by the owner of the property, was not the same as the lion of the mountain that attacked the employee of the summer camp.

CDFW works with local officials to find the mountain lion who attacked the summer camp employee. The agencies did not say what will happen if the mountain lion is found.

“Black mountains usually pose a little threat to humans and avoid any human reaction in general,” says the joint statement. “A person is likely to have a thousand times by lightning from the attack by a mountain lion. People who live in the mountain lion habitats can take precautions to reduce the risk of confronting the mountain lion.”

CDFW and Trinity County Sherif Office provides the following Mountain Lion safety tips:
  • Stay on alert on the corridors. Maintaining wheel and walking pets with young children. Do not let them run forward.
  • Do not come close to the mountain lion. Give them the way to escape.
  • Do not run. Stay calm. Do not turn your back.
  • He faced the animal, made noisy sounds, and tried to look bigger. If it is with young children, put them on your shoulders.
  • Do not bow or bow.

The statement says: “Sharif’s office provides advice to residents and visitors in this field to be careful after this meeting.” “Please avoid the area while searching CDFW about the violating animal and removes the instant risks to the public. If you are walking or re -create an outdoor time, please stay awake and avoid traveling alone in remote areas if possible.”
