Drama on The Real Housewives of Miami often feels larger than life, but Lisa Hochstein is pushing back against the latest conflict with Larsa Pippen by calling out what she sees as manufactured chaos. According to Lisa, Larsa’s dramatic accusations weren’t just personal—they were a strategic move to spark a juicy storyline for the cameras. Lisa insists the tension was fueled less by real betrayal and more by Larsa’s desire to create drama where there was none.
The whole mess kicked off when Larsa accused Lisa of being disloyal because Lisa’s boyfriend, Jody Glidden, remained friends with Larsa’s ex, Marcus Jordan. Larsa’s outrage exploded after spotting a selfie of Jody hanging out with Marcus. But Lisa paints a very different picture.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lisa explained, “I’m still in the feelings, and I’ll tell you why. They broke up several times and got back together. So, I didn’t even know that they broke up the final time until I saw it in the news. She didn’t tell me like she said. Like literally, there was no communication like they broke up.”
She also clarified her involvement with Marcus Jordan: “I didn’t hear about it. But, yeah, it’s not the way she says. And I wasn’t hanging out with Marcus.” Lisa defended Jody and Marcus’s continued friendship by pointing out, “You can’t expect Jody and Marcus to, like, completely cut off their relationship. They met on the show. They shared this experience.”
Lisa went on to explain the incident that Larsa took issue with: “That was the reason they saw each other, because they have mutual friends. So, Jody ended up going to a place, and Marcus was there. He took a selfie, and that’s it. End of story.”

Perhaps most tellingly, Lisa revealed that communication with Larsa had already been strained long before filming started. “We had one phone call about her asking me why I didn’t say Happy Birthday. And I said, ‘I did say Happy Birthday. I texted you, Happy Birthday,’” Lisa recalled. “And it was like a whole thing. And maybe that was her way of starting a problem … for a storyline.”
As The Real Housewives of Miami continues to unfold, this behind-the-scenes glimpse reminds fans that not all reality show battles are purely personal — sometimes, they’re just part of the show.
