Elon Musk wants you to believe he’s drug-free, shares results of “his” drug test urinalysis – Socialite Life

Elon Musk dropped what seemed to be his drug test results on X early Tuesday. Despite multiple credible media outlets reporting that Musk regularly indulges in illicit substances, the tech mogul’s test results seemingly came back negative for the substances he’s reportedly been using, including cocaine, ecstasy, and ketamine.

The billionaire simply posted “lol” alongside an image of the report, which appears to be from Fastest Labs of South Austin, located in Austin, Texas. According to the posted image, the urine sample was collected on June 11 and received by the lab on June 13, with the report dated June 16.

The test results show Musk tested negative for several substances, including benzodiazepines, amphetamine, and opiates – drugs he’s allegedly used before. The billionaire has been most closely linked to ketamine use, which reportedly affected his bladder, according to a New York Times piece from late May. While Musk has acknowledged having a ketamine prescription for depression in the past, he recently claimed he hasn’t touched it in several years.

Musk blasted the New York Times, accusing them of “lying their ass off” about his drug use history. However, they weren’t the first to break this story. The Wall Street Journal initially reported on Musk’s alleged history with various substances, including LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, mushrooms, and ketamine in January 2024. Their report cited concerned sources within his companies who worried his substance use could be damaging his businesses.

Since Musk himself shared the drug test results on Tuesday, we’re essentially taking his word on their authenticity. This might be challenging for some, given Musk’s track record of making questionable claims. For instance, when he insisted there was widespread fraud at the Social Security Administration with 150-year-olds collecting checks – a claim that made it into President Donald Trump’s first speech during his second term – it turned out to be false. His chief DOGE spokesperson, Katie Miller, kept pushing this false narrative, according to recent New York Times reporting.

NASA, which manages Musk’s lucrative SpaceX contracts, stated in January 2024 that they found “no evidence” of his drug use. However, the New York Times recently revealed that Musk had received advance notice about government-mandated drug tests required for maintaining his security clearance.

It seems unlikely that Musk’s drug test post will settle the ongoing debate. Especially considering his controversial political moves over the past year, including his massive $250 million campaign contribution to Trump and fellow Republicans. Musk’s numerous public appearances supporting Trump gave audiences plenty of chances to witness his peculiar behavior firsthand.

The list of bizarre incidents keeps growing – from his strange jumping routine at Trump’s summer rally in 2024 to his controversial salutes during the inauguration ceremony to that wild chainsaw incident at CPAC in February. His final Oval Office visit was particularly noteworthy, as he kept rotating his head and staring into space while Trump was speaking, a behavior pattern that’s become increasingly common lately.

While Musk’s supporters often attribute his unconventional behavior to being on the autism spectrum, which could explain some social awkwardness, this defense feels incomplete. Most people who know someone with autism can attest that their loved ones don’t display the same level of erratic and unhinged behavior that Musk frequently exhibits.
