Simon Guobadia Reveals in Court He Paid Porsha Williams $30K a Month For Being His Girlfriend — While She Says She Paid His Child Support!
Porsha Williams’ finances took center stage during a recent court hearing amid her ongoing divorce from Simon Guobadia — and fans were left stunned by the numbers.
During the proceedings, Simon’s attorney revealed that the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum began receiving $30,000 a month from Simon shortly after they started dating in spring 2021. At that time, according to the lawyer, Porsha had stepped away from her roles on both Dish Nation and The Real Housewives of Atlanta — decisions that factored heavily into their financial arrangements.
“During this time, Mr. Guobadia was actually giving his girlfriend about $30,000 a month, just off the strength of being his girlfriend,” the attorney explained in court, according to footage shared from the hearing.
“And so also during that time. Mr. Guobadia took that into consideration that since she had left her employment with Dish Nation and also with the Real Housewives of Atlanta, two of her primary sources of income, that he agreed to pay his girlfriend $30,000.”
Although there was no formal agreement in place, Simon’s team insisted the payments were intended to help Porsha maintain her lifestyle. “Mr. Guobadia wanted to ensure that [she] would have some sort of financial means to take care of her day-to-day needs,” the lawyer added.
Simon’s legal team also pointed out that Porsha’s exit from Bravo — and the reported $1.6 to $2 million salary she once earned — played a role in their prenup discussions.
“Around December 2021, carrying on into 2022, the parties did both hire counsel. They began negotiating. And you’ll find that during the negotiations, Mr. Guobadia relied upon the fact that Ms. Williams was no longer earning the average $1.6 million to $2 million that she was earning from The Real Housewives of Atlanta as a cast member … and she was no longer earning her money from Dish Nation,” the attorney noted.
In a separate moment, Porsha, 43, revealed that she stepped in financially to cover Simon’s obligations while he was facing legal trouble with U.S. immigration authorities. “I paid his child support for his two sons, and I also paid maintenance for the house, so that’s outside of utilities as well,” Porsha revealed.
“I really got concerned being that Simon was still detained.”
“When it comes to his child support, I’m still married to him at the end of the day, and I just really felt it was unfortunate that they weren’t getting any help.”
“The mother had reached out to my assistant [and said] that she was concerned … When I had spoke to her, she made me aware that it had not been paid and so I paid it,” she claimed.
