The Cleveland Browns have an interesting blend of quarterbacks on their roster. Former Super Bowl champion Joe Flacco serves as the veteran, while a collection of Kenny Pickett and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders are the youngsters trying to establish themselves.
All throughout rookie training camp and OTAs, the four have been embroiled in a stiff QB competition to decide the Browns’ starting quarterback. However, that hasn’t taken away from some of the fun they are having, especially with two contrasting personalities like Flacco and Sanders on the roster.
Joe Flacco and Shedeur Sanders Have Hilarious Exchange Caught On Mic
There might not be a more opposed pair of quarterbacks on a single roster than the one Cleveland is fielding with Flacco and Sanders. While the former is a 17-year veteran in the league with a Super Bowl championship, the other is a rookie coming off of arguably the worst draft slide in NFL history.
As such, the two have vastly different agendas to prove in the coming years. Flacco has a few cracks left in the league and has a chance to replicate his success with Cleveland from two years ago, when he led them to the playoffs.
On the other hand, the Colorado Buffaloes alum is theoretically starting behind all three counterparts in a race to secure a spot in the league. After a ton of hype, in part for his performance and in part due to his status as the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, Shedeur was universally regarded as a top-two quarterback in the league.
As a result, he has much to prove throughout his rookie season to potentially secure a spot on an NFL roster. But, beyond their ambitions and stories heading into the 2025 season, the two are worlds apart in personality as well.
During an exchange that the Browns X page released on social media, the two could be seen interacting in the most hilarious way imaginable. In the clip, Sanders asked his veteran, “You ever hit that dance?”

When the former Baltimore Ravens superstar inquired, the rookie showed off his dance moves, leading Flacco to respond with a direct, “Definitely not. I don’t know if I’ve ever hit a public dance move in my life.”
The Browns’ social media team was willing to have some fun with the scenario, too, captioning the clip, “‘I don’t dance’ – Joe Flacco, probably.”
While their quest to secure the starting job might be at odds with each other, it is clear that the two quarterbacks are developing a solid rapport with each other. Earlier in the week, Sanders even mentioned a ritual he has with the former NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
During an appearance on an Instagram Live, he mentioned that it was an everyday routine for him to ask Flacco, “Ay, bro, you good? You need anything?” Additionally, he even mentioned he would organize Flacco’s locker room daily if he asked him to.
Even though he entered the league with a ton of question marks, Sanders is quickly proving himself to be a fan favorite. And with this kind of mentality, it might not be long before he’s won the coaching staff and the rest of the roster over as well.
