Pop icon Miley Cyrus opens about an unexpected healthy intimidation that started while filming a music video on Hollywood celebrities – and ended with a trip to the intensive care unit.
In the recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!
“My leg started to disintegrate on a way around the KneeCAP region,” Cyrus told Kimmel. “I have caught something.”
Chris Wolf of KTLA talked to a doctor about some ideas about the injury of a pop star.
“The world is covered with a thin layer of a tube, and I would like to say,” said Dr. Alex McDonald, a family medicine specialist at Kaiser Perminte. “The city streets are famous for all kinds of very bad bacteria.”
McDonald has noted that although healthy individuals can usually fight most of the germs, the city’s streets – especially the areas that are smuggled severely like Walk of Fame – can harbor dangerous bacteria.
McDonald’s indicated that Cyrus had pieces or scratching around her knee, the open wound would put it in a greater danger to the infection.
“It seems that it was just bad luck, frankly,” McDonald said.
According to McDonald, inflammation such as the described Cyrus is rare but dangerous, with symptoms usually appears within three to five days of exposure. Washing any wound with soap and warm water is advised immediately and applying a topical antibiotic to prevent deep infection.
He said: “Wear the shoes, wash your hands – basic things like that.”
While Cyrus has recovered since then, her story is a reminder to take precautions in public places.
