New York Yankees legends Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter are two out of the three star members of a group hosting exclusive MLB shows for FOX Sports during the baseball season. The third member of the group is Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz. The trio are most often found hosting exclusive programs during the postseason, commentating on the games as both pregame and postgame analysts.

On May 20, the 46th annual Sports Emmy Awards were held in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City. FOX Sports’ featured programs and live shows on baseball earned the broadcasting service a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Studio Show (Limited Run). The honors came in the backdrop of outstanding efforts from the baseball legends in hosting the shows throughout the season.

On Wednesday, A-Rod shared a celebratory post on Instagram highlighting the Emmy win for MLB on FOX Sports. He shared an array of snaps from the various segments of the shows hosted by him and the other baseball legends from the previous year while dropping special mentions for Jeter, Ortiz, and others from the filming crew.

The team’s exclusive show, ‘MLB at Rickwood Field: A Tribute to the Negro Leagues,’ won a Sports Emmy award in the Outstanding Live Special – Non-Championship Event category. The broadcasting service has many more new live and special feature programs lined up for various sporting leagues this season.

The announcements for the shows, programs, and their latest streaming service, ‘FOX One,’ were made during the 2025 FOX Sports Upfront event.

Rodriguez is a minority owner in both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Minnesota Lynx. He watched game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the T-Wolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center on Tuesday night, which the away team lost 114-88. On Wednesday, he shared a story on his Instagram handle announcing the Lynx playing their home opener in the new WNBA season.

He captioned the story as, “@minnesotalynx home opener! Let’s go!” The Lynx won the contest 85-81 against the Dallas Wings and improved their record to 3-0 for the campaign.
