Kyle Richards Shades “Ex” Mauricio at Daughter’s Engagement Party After He Was Caught Kissing Another Woman!
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky may be putting on a united front for family milestones, but that didn’t stop Kyle from slipping in a little shade during their daughter Alexia’s engagement celebration.
The estranged Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple reunited at Kyle’s Encino home—yes, the same one Mauricio moved out of last year—to celebrate Alexia Umansky and her fiancé, Jake Zingerman. While the party was full of smiles and sweet moments, Kyle’s not-so-subtle humor caught fans’ attention online.
In a TikTok posted by Alexia on May 18, Kyle is seen standing at the bar with her daughter when she quips, “Why are you still talking to my ex?” Alexia claps back with, “Mom, he’s literally my dad.” Kyle’s response? A dramatic eye roll followed by a bold middle finger to her daughter before turning away—clearly over it.
The moment had fans laughing, but many also saw it as a cheeky jab at Mauricio amid their high-profile separation. While Kyle played host at the family home, she and Mauricio were photographed smiling with Alexia and Jake—both wearing coordinating burgundy tones. Still, some fans noted that the smiles felt more polite than passionate.
After all, it’s hard to ignore the tension when your ex is back in your house, standing under a framed photo from your 1996 wedding that your daughter put out for guests to see.
In another TikTok, Alexia shared a long, heartfelt caption connecting the dots of how her parents’ decisions indirectly led her to Jake. But her story, though sweet, wasn’t without some eyebrow-raising moments—particularly the part where she recalled being pulled from her old school after losing a class election.
“The butterfly effect is crazy,” she wrote. “Because what do you mean my mom took me out of my elementary school in 2nd grade because my teachers put it on the chalk board that I got 0 votes when I ran for class president, so then she put me in the same elementary school my dad went to…”
Some fans saw the caption as Alexia sweetly honoring both parents—others felt the story pointed more to Kyle being the driving force in her daughter’s life decisions, while Mauricio simply happened to share the zip code.
In a speech captured on Instagram Stories, Alexia thanked her parents—but her wording, and the setting, left fans talking. “I do want to start by thanking, first and foremost, my mom and dad,” she said. “I love you guys so much.”
Then came the part that many felt shaded Mauricio just a bit: “We wouldn’t be here without you guys today. This home is what it is because of you. I wanted to celebrate so badly here because of the home you made for us.” Given that Mauricio no longer lives there—and Kyle hosted the entire event at the same Encino estate—some took her words as a reminder of who’s really still holding it all together.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return later this year on Bravo.
