CeeDee Lamb Sees Immense Quality in George Pickens
Taking time out of OTAs to speak to the press, Lamb had nothing but good things to say about his new teammate.
“We complement each other very well,” he said. “He’s a tall figure, his ability to go up and get the ball at the highest point is amazing… He’s up there with the [best] guys in the league as far as 50/50 balls, deep threat, anything as far as running routes, it’s pretty good. It’s good to see.”
CeeDee Lamb on what excites him most about George Pickens: “Everything. His demeanor. Everything he brings to the table. Deep threat ability. Able to block. And just the energy he brings to the game.”

The addition of Pickens doesn’t come without risk, but the receiver’s immense talent is undeniable. He’s never too far away from a highlight-reel catch or a big play to get his team downfield. With Dallas’ franchise quarterback Dak Prescott hoping to be healthy for the start of the 2025 campaign, the team could boast an elite passing game next season.
Lamb Defends Pickens’ Character – ‘They Get It Confused’
Having spent time working out with Pickens in the past, Lamb is familiar with the personality that his team has added in the former Pittsburgh receiver. When asked for his thoughts on the narrative surrounding Pickens, Lamb defended his new teammate, suggesting that the former Steeler is unfairly criticized.
“I already knew what it was,” he began. “I knew who he was as a player. Obviously, just watching him on the Steelers, and how passionate he is about the game. I think they get it confused. Once you’re so passionate about something, you’re willing to do anything for it, right?
“So as far as winning goes, just being happy in an organization. Not saying he wasn’t, not saying he was, but I don’t know. He hasn’t stopped smiling since he got here, so I’ll start with that.”
It’s widely accepted that certain playstyles don’t fit into certain schemes, but it’s often overlooked that some personalities don’t fit into certain cultures. While it remains possible that there will be friction surrounding Pickens in Dallas, all of the immediate signals are positive.
