In the wake of a terrorist bombing of the American reproductive centers (ARC) fertility clinic in Palm Springs during the weekend, patients speak – not angry, but with gratitude.
One of the patients with artificial insemination, who asked not to reveal her safety, said that her heart was drowned when she read the news for the first time. Weeks before the explosion, I finally completed the eggs retrieval in the clinic.
Of the 27 eggs, only one fetus formed.
“The complete disbelief”, describing the moment when it realized the building in which its fetus was stored. “Women envision their heart and soul, time, energy, and money – our material bodies – in creating an opportunity to achieve their greatest dream.”
But just hours after the explosion, the message came: the fetuses were saved. It is attributed to the main physician of the clinic, Dr. Maher Abdullah, for his rapid thinking and mercy on taking the word to patients.
The Vice President of the Fire in Palm Springs said, Greg Lail said that he and the FBI deputy at the temple at risk on Sunday to see if they could get the embryos out of the building, but as soon as they realized that there are tanks carrying hundreds of embryos.
The tanks were very large so that they did not move safely, so the Lyle team went to try to save medical records, but they ended up providing more.
He said: “These men entered, it was not me.” “They went to restore power, and do so.”
The team has successfully re -established electricity to restore incubators and make sure that the refrigerated containers were sound.
The patient said: “My fetus is already a small fighter.” “It is the only fetus that made it from 27 eggs, and now I survived this.”
The transfer of the fetus remains on the specified date, and now in a different location. She plans to visit the Palm Fire Department in Palm Springs this week to thank the crew who personally helped save its future.
Emery Bokos, another patient from a bow who had previously completed a successful course that has now the birth of her daughter in two and a half years, said that she was store two fetuses in the clinic to use in the future.
When the news of the bombing broke out, she was afraid of the worst.
“If you are in the middle of freezing for three or five days, then those days are important-time is the essence,” said Bokos. “I am very happy because they were able to get these fetuses and continue the treatments for those who may be close now.”
Palm Springs, the mayor of professionals, Naomi Soto, presented words of reassurance after the attack, and called on society to stand together.
She said: “Palm Springs is the city of love, acceptance, joy and hope.”
Despite the damage to the building, patients said that the dream of starting or growing their families is still alive.
