Alex de Minaur recently reacted to his fiancée, Katie Boulter, winning the 2025 Trophée Clarins in Paris, France. This was the Brit’s maiden clay court title and first at the WTA 125 level.
Boulter began her clay court season at the Madrid Open, where she was eliminated in the second round by Jasmine Paolini. Just before her run in Paris, she competed at the Italian Open, facing a first-round defeat against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Boulter was seeded second at the 2025 Trophée Clarins. She began her campaign with a solid performance, defeating Erika Andreeva 6-4, 6-4 in the first round. She then beat Daria Saville 6-3, 6-0 to secure her place in the quarterfinals.
Here, the 28-year-old triumphed over qualifier Elsa Jacquemot with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 scoreline. In the semifinals, she registered a 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 win over eighth seed Varvara Gracheva.
In the championship match, meanwhile, Boulter faced Chloé Paquet and defeated her with a score of 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 to clinch the Challenger-level title.
Following her victory, Katie Boulter shared a series of images from the match, including moments with her team posing with the trophy. She also posted a picture of her video call with Alex de Minaur, celebrating her win.
“CLAAAYYYTIEEE. Title on every surface say whaaat,” Boulter captioned her Instagram post.
De Minaur reacted on social media and playfully referred to Boulter as a “clay specialist.” He also commented on her post, mentioning that they now love “clay” because of her win on the surface.

Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter are set to compete next at the 2025 French Open, which will take place from May 25 to June 8, 2025, at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France.
In 2024, De Minaur entered the clay court Major as the 11th seed and began his campaign with an impressive victory over Alex Michelsen, winning 6-1, 6-0, 6-2 in the first round. He then overcame Jaume Munar with a 7-5, 6-1, 6-4 scoreline.
The Australian registered a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 win over Jan-Lennard Struff, following which he beat Daniil Medvedev 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-3 to secure his place in the quarterfinals. Here, his run came to an end against fourth seed and eventual runner-up, Alexander Zverev, with a score of 4-6, 6-7(5), 4-6.
On the other hand, Katie Boulter, who was seeded 26th at the 2024 French Open, lost 6-4, 5-7, 4-6 to Paula Badosa in the first round.
