Green Valley Ranch, Colorado (KDVR) – My mother and six of her children are working on their feet after destroying a cross fire and making their house unclear.
“My brother told me that he was drawing a burning thing, so I went to the basement. It was a big fire,” said Viccori Johnson, one of the children inside the house when the fire started. “My sister was screaming, I tried to put out the fire, and I tried to put a bucket of water, but the fire was not going anywhere.”
Al -Nasr told Fox31 that it and its five siblings were inside the house and they were making some food when the fire started. She told us that her mother had just run out for a quick mission before the fire began.
“I shouted to all the children out of the house until they all left the house,” said Viccore. “After that, my sister continued to try to extinguish the fire, I got the fire extinguisher to take it out and continued to run.”
My mother, Gloria Johnson, explained that she was grateful to all her children, but her 16 -year -old daughter did everything in her power to try to stop the fire.
Gloria said: “I am only grateful to all my children, they took them out and made her alive,” Gloria said. “My daughter was burned on her leg and on her foot, and she was inhaling some smoke too.”
A phone call from a daughter that leads to a quick mother’s response
Gloria said she had received a call from her children about fire and panic.
“I received the call telling me, my mother, the house is burning,” Gloria said. “You know that people are not like this, but I did not think of anything, but everything happened very quickly.”
Gloria said she was behind Firetrucks. As soon as she got out of the house, she said, she realized the amount of damage that happened.
She rented this house for 17 years and raised all her children there.
“I think you think this will never happen to you,” Gloria said. “You hear about fires, you see the fires, but you don’t think that will happen to you.”
Denver Fire confirmed with Fox31 that the house fire was accidental (meaning my cross) and started the kitchen. Fire investigators have also confirmed that one person, the 16 -year -old daughter, was transferred to a local hospital.
“This is our house, she was really trying to take out the fire, she was really trying to get out of the fire,” said Viccore.
The family is now a displacement and because it is a big family, she said that she all lived in different locations so that they can find a better place. She made it clear that they got the help of the Red Cross, but they left the house mainly with clothes on their backs only.
“When you have lived somewhere for many years, it looks like, how do you start again, as you know?” Gloria said.
Fox31 walked inside the house and saw everything inside destroying and damaging the fire and smoke to the upper floor.
“At the present time, we started new, and we will eventually need new housing, new furniture and such things, but at this stage everything can be replaced,” Gloria said. “The most important part is that we still have each other, and even when I go down or feel sad, I think we still have each other, I have my children and everyone made them alive.”
